The M-Live news website searched all over Michigan to find the best neighborhood bar. They checked big cities, and small towns, and then chose: Hoppy’s in Kenton. The M-Live judges cited Hoppy’s friendly, informal atmosphere… the characters who patronize the bar… owners Fred and Jane Osinski… and Hoppy’s famous Sloppy Hoppyburger as things they liked. They also admired the individually-decorated ceiling tiles. Hoppy’s beat out Nancy’s Whiskey Pub in Detroit, and The Tap Room in Ypsilanti for the top honor. In our area, M-Live gave honorable mentions to the Mosquito Inn in Toivola, and Henry’s (Never) Inn in Rockland. To see the full M-Live article, click here.
