A 25-year-old woman was arrested by the Houghton Police Department following a home invasion that occurred Monday. Police say they responded to a report of a stolen cell phone at an apartment on Portage St. in Houghton. As they investigated the apartment, officers were told by a resident that the suspect had been apprehended in a separate apartment attempting more larcenies. Officers arrested the woman on one count of first degree home invasion, a 20-year felony. She is currently lodged in the Houghton County Jail and is expected to be arraigned this morning.
