Help Needed For Carry The Fallen-Justin Fitch Memorial Walk

An effort is underway to honor a Michigan Tech alumnus who went on to raise awareness in the fight against veteran suicide.

2005 graduate Justin Fitch, who served two tours in Iraq, passed away last October from cancer after becoming a national spokesperson for the Active Heroes Foundation.

Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity member Grant Beatus says they want to start a memorial ruck march this fall.

The march will be over eight miles and will be followed by a ceremony to remember Fitch and what he accomplished.

Beatus says Fitch is not only being honored, but he is still serving as the inspiration.

They need a lot of volunteers to make the Carry the Fallen—Justin Fitch Memorial Ruck happen.
