Hearing Will Look Into Findings Of Veterans' Home Report

There will be a joint committee hearing of the House Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs and the House Committee on Oversight and Ethics this morning at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.

Members will hear testimony from residents of the home and family members regarding information in the Auditor General’s report of abuse and neglect at the home.

A bill is before the governor that will authorize an ombudsman specifically for the two veterans’ homes in Michigan that have been the subject of the most criticism.
