Western U.P. Board of Health Chairman Scott Ala says the department is looking for a new Health Officer and Executive Officer for the five-county health department. Current health officer Guy St. Germain has announced his retirement from the role by October. Ala says the board’s search committee has been working close with St. Germain to outline the search process, which is expected to take several months. St. Germain has been with the health department for 24 years, serving as Health Officer and Executive Officer for the last ten. For more information on this position, click here.
