Hancock Woman Pleads No Contest In Stabbing Case

A Hancock woman accused of stabbing a man last summer has entered a plea agreement.

41-year old Sarah Youmans pleaded no contest to attempted assault with a dangerous weapon at her pretrial hearing in Houghton County Circuit Court.

She was originally charged with Felonious Assault with a dangerous weapon, a four year felony.

Youmans was arrested in August after allegedly stabbing a 57-year-old man in the shoulder at a residence on Summit Street in Hancock.

She will be sentenced at a later date.
