Once the turkey is gone and the dishes are clean, it’s time to start thinking Christmas.
After a busy shopping day Friday, you and your family are invited to Hancock to take part in the annual Christmas Walk through downtown.
Carol Freeman of the Hancock Businesses and Professionals Association says many of the local businesses will be taking part in the festivities.
The walk begins at 6pm as Santa Claus rides a fire truck from the Scott Building to City Hall.
There he will light the city Christmas tree and meet with kids.
Parents are welcome to bring their cameras and take pictures.
Kids can decorate cookies while they wait to see Santa or hitch a ride on a dogsled at Quincy Green.
Don’t leave the dog at home, for a $1 donation to the Copper Country Humane Society, your pet can take part in the Merry Mutt parade.
The theme for this year’s Christmas Walk in Hancock is “Celebrating Christmas, Island Style.”
