Hancock Rocks Out with Canal Rock

The city of Hancock opened up its summer last Friday with their Canal Rack concert series. DDA Coordinator, Deborah Mann, spoke about the event and it’s importance to the community.

“Canal Rock is a series of concerts that the city of Hancock puts on at Provoo Park down here. Anyone can come, bring a lawn chair, listen to some music, we have different bands every week.Bring some money for food, some water, a lawn chair. It is like a lifeline for the community, not for the city of Hancock to get back to some sense of normal. But seeing people enjoy life again. And our summers in the Copper Country are unbelievable.”

Canal Rock is free and can be found rocking out at Provoo Park on the Hancock side of the Portage Canal. Each Friday night will showcase a new local band. A local food truck will also be at the park for each concert. For more information or the event schedule follow http://www.cityofhancock.com/events.php
