Hancock Public Schools notify of increased animals sightings near campus

Hancock Public Schools shares sightings of more animals near the school campus. Yesterday Hancock Public School superintendent Chris Salani notified parents that due to the time of the year, and nearby construction projects to the district’s middle school and high school campus, there have been increased sightings of animals in the area. These sightings include bobcats, skunks, deer, woodchucks, and during the summer a bear with cubs. The schools have notified students with extracurriculars, and who walk or bike to and from the campus to keep an eye out for animals. Salani encourages the community to remain aware of potential interactions. Those with questions should contact the district.
