Hancock Public Schools begins accepting snow removal bids

The leaves are changing colors. Which can only mean that snow will return to the Upper Peninsula soon enough. Hancock Public Schools has opened the district bid for snow removal and sanding for the 2024 -25 school year. The district will accept bids until October 15th. The contract will need to remove snow from the parking lot by 6:30 am in time for students to arrive at school. The contract will cover both lots at the middle school and high school as well as at Barkell Elementary School. All contractors working on school grounds must be licensed.
