Hancock Police Confirm Mysterious Death Likely Drug-Related

The Hancock City Police Department has confirmed that a man who died in the city on December 23rd was probably the victim of a drug overdose.

The body was found in a residence on Quincy Street in the afternoon. The victim is described as “an out-of-state” man. Hancock Police Chief Wayne Butler says his identity remains unknown.

Butler confirmed that “”alcohol and multiple drugs” were found in the man’s system. It will be several weeks before a full toxicology report is completed.

The investigation continues. At this time, no arrests have been made.
