With school starting today, the first days of fall are around the corner. But before the leaves can change colors Hancock will celebrate the End of Summer. On Saturday the city will host the second annual End of Summer Celebration. The city invites the Copper Country to enjoy some fun activities and tournaments around downtown. While also checking out the food and nonfood vendors on the Quincy Green and the Hancock City Fire Department’s beer garden and Street dance. Hancock also plans to have a laser light show to close out the evening. Anyone interested in registering for one of the tournaments for Saturday can find more details below.

Pickleball Tournaments: Interested participants may register by calling/texting Mary Kominski at 906-482-2422
- 9 am: Youth Division (14 and under) FREE at Laurn-Grove Park
- 10 am: Adult Division ($10 entry fee) at Laurn-Grove Park
Tennis Tournament: 9 am at Terrace Park
Corn Hole Tournament: 2 pm at 400 Quincy Street (2-person teams: $20 entry fee) Interested participants may register by calling Hancock City Hall at 906-482-2720
Kids Games/Activities, Bouncy Houses: 2 pm on Quincy Green
Food & Non-Food Vendors: You may shop some of your favorite non-food vendors and eat at one of your favorite food vendors beginning at 2 pm on Quincy Green
Ping Pong Ball Drop: 200 ping pong balls with a number corresponding to a prize will be dropped from the top of the City of Hancock’s Aerial Fire Truck beginning at 3 pm (presented by the Hancock Business Association)
Beer Garden: 1 pm at 400 Quincy Street (presented by the City of Hancock Fire Dept)
Street Dance: 6 pm featuring the band NEXT MYLE from Kingsford (presented by the City of Hancock Fire Dept)
