Gwinn Woman Tries To Break In With An Axe

A Gwinn woman is in custody after allegedly attempting to break into a Forsyth Township home with an axe.

Police say 46-year-old Joie Lee Graves damaged a window, picked up an axe, and tried to chop her way into the residence of a male subject who refused to let her in.

The incident happened Saturday morning at around 2:00.

When police arrived, they found Graves reaching through a hole she had made in the door.

Graves was arrested and taken to the Marquette County Jail without incident.

She is charged with malicious destruction of property to a building and illegal entry.

Both of these charges are misdemeanors.
