Great Lakes Water Levels Up

A new report from the U-S Army Corps of Engineers says Great Lakes water levels came back up last year, after being down for several years. The report says Lake Superior rose by nearly two feet. Lakes Michigan and Huron rose 15 inches during 2013, after they were at their lowest level ever recorded. According to The Detroit News, levels of lakes Michigan and Huron came back up enough to make up all the lost ground from the historic dry conditions of 2012. Lake Ontario water levels rose 10 inches, and since last July, Lake Erie’s levels remained within two inches of long-term average.
