Gray Wolf Petition Denied

An attempt by the Humane Society of the United States to list the gray wolf as threatened as opposed to endangered has fallen short.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service denied the group’s petition even though the gray wolf population has rebounded in some states – including Michigan.

Earlier this year the Michigan Senate approved a resolution urging Congress to remove the gray wolf from the endangered species list.
