A national website has ranked a Western Upper Peninsula community college the best in the state.
Michigan ranks 38th among the best community college systems in the country, according to Wallethub.com.
The highest ranking school in Michigan is Gogebic Community College, at number 123 in the nation.
The ranking is based on data ranging from the student to faculty ratio to the cost of in-state tuition.
It looked at the best 670 schools in the US, and 27 Michigan community colleges made the list.
Michigan schools also placing in the top 200 were Delta College (131) and Kirtland Community College (158).
Mississippi ranked number one overall while Louisiana was last.
Six states were not included in the ranking.
