Gogebic Community College has hired a new Workforce Development Director. Monica Benson of Ironwood has been selected to join the college’s team of staff and faculty as the college’s Workforce Development Director. She will take over the role from Glen Ackerman-Behr.
Benson has two decades of career experience in quality assurance and training and holds a Bachelor of science from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. During that time she has helped several small manufacturing businesses to surpass their company objectives. She says she is thrilled to have this opportunity to leverage her experience to aid the community college’s stakeholders with training and workforce development. Gogebic Community College President Chris Pattrito says the college is delighted to bring Benson aboard with her wealth of knowledge and experience in the business community.
