Flu season is here and if you haven’t already, health officials are urging you to get a flu shot before you really wish you had.
Sporadic cases have been reported throughout the country with the peak period for our area coming in February.
Medical Director of the Western U.P. Health Department Dr. Terry Frankovich says more cases will begin to pop up as the season moves on.
Dr. Frankovich says despite persistent fears that the flu vaccine could cause you to get sick, she says that is a myth.
Flu shots are available through your primary care doctor, some local pharmacies, or at the Health Department.
