Average retail gasoline prices in Michigan have risen 4.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.55 per gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 4,900 gas outlets in Michigan.
This compares with the national average that has fallen 3.9 cents per gallon in the last week to $1.69 per gallon.
Michigan’s average is 74 cents lower than the same day a year ago and 23 cents less than a month ago.
AAA reports that out of the ten Michigan metro areas they survey, the lowest average price is $1.52 in Jackson.
The highest price was found in Marquette, at $1.58.
