The average price of gasoline in Michigan as we head into the holiday weekend is on the way up, now at about $2.75 a gallon.
The price actually began to rise earlier this week but that’s not a surprise to Patrick DeHaan of GasBuddy.com.
He says refinery issues for Exxon Mobil in Illinois also may have bumped the price.
DeHaan says prices are still about a dollar a gallon lower than Memorial Day last year and it appears summer prices are potentially looking very good for road trippers in Michigan.
