The lawyer representing State Representative Cindy Gamrat is weighing in on claims made by one of her former staffers about her relationship with fellow House Republican Todd Courser.
Former aide, Josh Cline, told reporters Monday he often witnessed long, affectionate hugs between the lawmakers and said the two would often disappear for hours.
Gamrat’s attorney, Andrew Abood, says Cline’s allegations are just that, allegations, and they do not have much to do with a House Business Office investigation into whether Courser or Gamrat misused state resources to cover up their affair.
Abood says Cline has now had his 15 minutes of fame and they wish him the best.
He also says Gamrat won’t likely respond to the Cline’s claims.
