Gains Seen From Most Major Automakers

Car sales jumped more than three percent in April, with most major carmakers posting gains.

AutoTrader.com analyst Michelle Krebs says it shows there’s still a lot of life in the car market, after a relatively weak performance in March.

For the three domestic car companies, Fiat Chrysler sales rose 6 percent. Ford sales were up 4 percent.

General Motors, which has been working to reduce its less profitable fleet sales, saw its sales drop four percent.
