Fundraiser For Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter Home Sunday

Despite efforts by the National Football League and others to bring attention to domestic violence, many women right here in the Copper Country are victims of abuse.

The Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter Home helps to protect these women by giving them a place to stay, guidance on taking their lives back and, if necessary, support in the courtroom.

The biggest fundraiser of the year for the shelter home takes place this Sunday at Studio Pizza’s Orpheum Theater in Hancock–the 7th Annual Spring Music Celebration and Silent Auction.

Shelter Director Mary Niemila says it should be an enjoyable evening.

Music will be provided by Viney Willa…Tom Katalin and Ron Lahti.

The show starts at 4pm and all they ask is for a donation of at least $5 at the door.
