Friday's Crash Sends Two To The Hospital

The investigation continues into a two vehicle crash in Houghton that happened Friday.

The Houghton Police Department responded to the crash shortly before 4pm at the intersection of Razorback Drive and Memorial Road.

A 1999 Toyota Forerunner driven by a 73-year old Hancock woman was heading west across Memorial Road when she went into the path of a 2003 Ford Focus driven by a 22-year old Lake Linden woman.

The Toyota was struck on the passenger side and overturned.

The driver of the car and her 74-year-old passenger had to be extricated by Hurontown Fire and Rescue and taken by Mercy Ambulance to U.P. Health System Portage.

The 22-year-old woman was not injured.
