Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center is hosting a vaccine clinic on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 meant specifically for 16 and 17 year olds. Its Hancock location is on Campus Drive. The Pfizer shot will be used and a clinic is already scheduled for May 28th for the second dose.
The vaccines are approved for those 16 and up, with studies being conducted to potentially increase eligibility to those as young as 12 in the near future. The clinics may be a great option for high school athletes. Governor Whitmer just relaxed testing requirements for players if they have been fully vaccinated.
