The C-L-K Board of Education had plenty of reasons to celebrate at their meeting Tuesday,
In addition to congratulating the 2015 Varsity football team and coaching staff for it’s WestPAC championship season, the board also gave kudos to JROTC Raider team for finishing 2nd at the state finals in Jackson.
The team now heads to Georgia for the Nationals competition.
The Washington Middle School Lego Robotics team placed 1st at the regional competition held in Houghton, earning them recognition by the board as well.
The Elementary Family Night on October 13th was a success, raising $5,600 through book fair sales for the library to purchase new books.
In other business, the board invoked for 2016 its previously adopted ongoing resolution imposing a summer tax levy of all school property taxes, including debt service, upon property located within the school district except for Osceola Township.
