Fish Case Going to Trial

A man accused of an armed robbery of two Watton residents in Covington Township in August is going to trial. Bernard Fish was in Baraga Circuit Court yesterday for a pretrial hearing. Fish is charged with two counts of extortion, two counts of unlawful imprisonment, and one count of impersonating a peace officer to commit a crime. He is also charged with two counts of armed robbery, a felony punishable by life in prison. Fish plead not guilty to all counts. A four–day trial is scheduled for sometime in April. Fish’s alleged accomplice, Donavan Waupoose, was also scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, but his pretrial hearing was rescheduled.
