First Friday events in Calumet features the best the village has to offer in dining and entertainment.
Though most businesses normally close as the sun goes down, on these nights, many stay open well into the evening.
One of those locations is The Eagle Café at the Omphale Gallery on the far north end of town.
That’s café co-owner Mike Porter.
The café has a regular breakfast and lunch menu, but they switch things up for First Fridays.
In addition to the food, they will be featuring an L-P Lounge this Friday where customers can play their favorite albums.
At the other end of historic 5th Street, you’ll find the Paige Wiard Gallery, with their collection of local artists.
Wiard says her gallery offers visitors more than a standard gift shop.
The gallery will feature the fiber artwork of Marquette’s Terri Smith this weekend.
First Friday’s in Calumet runs from 6:00 to 9:00pm.
