The Finlandia Foundation National has recently launched a fundraising campaign to Save Finland in America. The Foundation has started the Saving Finland in America fundraising campaign to support its acquisition of cultural and historical assets at the Finnish American Heritage Center. The Finlandia Foundation National is a nonprofit organization that supports and promotes Finnish-American heritage through programming, scholarships, and grants. In March 2023 the foundation began working toward acquiring cultural assets collected by the now-closed Finlandia University Finnish American Heritage Center’s archives. The foundation has plans in place to take control of the heritage center in Hancock, including the art gallery, price of Freedom museum, Finnish American Folk School, North Wind Books, and the monthly newsletter the Finnish American Reporter.
