Fiery Crash At Holiday Gas Station In Hancock

Some of the pumps at this Holiday Gas Station in Hancock will need to be replaced, but the damage could have been a lot worse.

This video, courtesy of DHITV, Phil Vasquez and DIAMOND House Productions, shows the scene from Saturday night at the station on the corner of Hancock and Reservation Streets.

Just before midnight, Hancock Police say an 18-year-old male from Baldwin Park, MI slammed his Honda Civic into a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was at the center pumps.

After hitting the truck, the car hit the gas pumps and a fire erupted.

Officers battled the blaze with fire extinguishers from their vehicles until the Hancock Fire Department arrived.

There were no injuries and except for the pumps, the gas station building itself was not damaged.

The suspect was found during the investigation and was arrested for Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated.

He has posted bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.

His name will not be released until after his arraignment.
