An Ironwood man is now facing federal drug charges after the Gogebic County Prosecutor’s Office dismissed state charges against him. 31-year-old Joshua Anderson stood mute during his arraignment in U.S. District Court in Marquette June 11. By doing so, Anderson did not plea either way to three charges: conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, controlled substance–selling, distributing, dispensing, and controlled substance–selling, distributing, dispensing meth. His co-defendant, 23-year-old Alyssa Pollard, is still facing state drug charges, including delivery/manufacture of marijuana and maintaining a drug house. She will appear in Gogebic County Circuit Court June 26 for an all-purpose hearing. Anderson and Pollard were arrested in May by the Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Enforcement Team. A new court date for Anderson has not been scheduled yet.
