Fatal House Fire in Breitung Township

One woman is dead after a house fire in Dickinson County. Breitung Township Fire Department Chief Jeff Iverson said the incident happened at a home in Quinnesec. Iverson believes the fire started in the kitchen. The woman was found dead in a bedroom, and was the only occupant of the home. The fire was contained to the kitchen, but other areas of the home suffered heat and smoke damage. The state fire marshal is continuing to investigate the incident. No other information has been released at this time.
