A 55-year-old Kansas man is dead after he was hit by a mini-van in Marquette Township Saturday night. The Marquette County Sheriff’s office says that the fatal accident occurred around 8 p.m., when the man was struck on the east bound lanes of US-41, near the Cedar Motor Inn, trying to cross the highway. The man attempted to cross US-41 when he walked into the path of an eastbound minivan that was driven by a 43-year-old woman from Gwinn. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No one in the mini-van was injured in the accident. The crash remains under investigation.
