While mostly ignoring the stifling heat inside a packed Fenton High School Gymnasium, family, friends and fellow troopers said goodbye Tuesday to Chad Wolf, the Michigan State Police Trooper who died from injuries sustained while on duty Friday.
Trooper Wolf was described as a man with a giant heart, many talents — including comedy and music — and a man of deep faith.
Colonel Kriste Kibbey Etue, head of the Michigan State Police, said Wolf was equally talented as both an investigator and on patrol.
Wolf was on his motorcycle when he was hit and dragged by a car towing a trailer in northern Oakland County.
The 38 year old was a seven year veteran of the Michigan State Police who served at posts in Jackson and Flint.
