Fair Fun, Competitions, and Exhibitors Opening Today at the Houghton County Fair

The Houghton County Fair will open today. At 2 o’clock the rabbit and poultry show, followed by the Victoria Circus and Thrill show at 3 pm. There’s always something happening at the fair. Check out the exhibitor’s building for 2024 before judging announcements are made tomorrow. The Houghton County Fair includes several categories to highlight the creative, and hard work of residents in the area to capture photography and create artisan crafts. As well as some of the county’s best gardeners showing off prized produce, and home cooks with baked breads, and pies and jams and jellies. Tomorrow the Whispering Pines Mobile Zoo will open at the ball field. Saturday includes a full day of activities ending with the Monster Truck Throw-down in the main event area. Then the fair will close out on Sunday, but not before the Tuff Truck competition. And of course, there are fun carnival games and rides to take with Skerbeck entertainment with the midway open each day of the Houghton County Fair.
