FAHC adds Swedish to community enrichment lineup

A former Fulbright scholar who spent a year in Sweden will share his Swedish language skills through a Finnish American Heritage Center community enrichment class.

Sam Knapp, an Iron River, Wisconsin native, will offer Swedish language instruction on Mondays at 6 p.m., beginning September 28. The class will meet for 10 weeks, with each session lasting about an hour.

Registration for this course is $50 per student. A minimum of five students is necessary for the class to be held; therefore, advance registration is strongly encouraged.

The class will meet at Finlandia University’s Finnish American Heritage Center, which is the site of all of this fall’s other enrichment courses, which include Finnish language, kantele, and Scandinavian-style knitting. For further information, or to register, call the FAHC at 906-487-7549.
