Legislation allowing businesses to keep epinephrine injectors, or EpiPen’s, on hand in case someone has a severe allergic reaction was heard in a House committee Tuesday. No vote was taken.
State Representative Lisa Lyons says employees will be trained on how to use an EpiPen, which looks similar to large marker, and will get a refresher course every two years. They’ll also be trained on the signs and symptoms of a severe allergic reaction.
The House Health Policy committee is expected to vote on the bill at its next hearing.
