The Houghton woman accused of stealing a cell phone from an apartment complex on Portage street will be sentenced next week. 25-year-old Amelia Emery will face judgment on February 11th. She was initially charged with two counts of first degree home invasion, but later plead no contest to second degree home invasion. Emery was arrested last November after Houghton City Police officers responded to the stolen cell phone report. They were then notified that Emery had been subdued in another apartment attempting further thefts.
