Efforts Continue To Move Freighter Run Aground In Whitefish Bay

The U.S. Coast Guard, the Canadian government and a salvage company are working to find a way to move a freighter that ran aground in Whitefish Bay Friday.

That’s Coast Guard Petty Officer Christopher Yaw, who says the crew aboard the freighter is fine.

The Roger Blough, carrying iron ore, was heading to Conneaut, Ohio.

Yaw says they may need to offload some of the iron ore on the freighter to make it lighter to move.
