Education Funding Increased

A $16.2 billion education spending plan has been approved in Lansing. It will include modest increases for K-12 and will boost university funding by 3.4%.

Opponents of the bill claim 1/3 of the state’s universities would be funded below levels from six years ago.

K-12 funding increases between $60 and $120 per student.
