Owners of Detroit-based cars and trucks reported fewer new-car problems than those who bought import models.
That’s according to a just-released survey from J.D. Power.
Three domestic brands–Chevrolet, Buick and Lincoln– finished in the top 10 of brand rankings.
J.D. Power Vice President Renee Stevens says for the first time since 1989, a non-luxury brand leads the way.
Overall however, Kia topped all brands, followed by Porsche, Hyundai and Toyota.
Jeep and Chrysler were the two most improved brands, however both continued to rank below the overall industry average.
