Fading, yet still readable–the Ghost Signs of Calumet almost blend in with the streetscape.
The Keweenaw National Historical Park is hosting a free guided tour this Saturday to explore these images of the past.
It’s part of National Get Outdoors Day, or GO Day.
GO Day is a national effort to inspire and motivate people to get outdoors.
At this free event, participants will learn about the past while discovering historic signs, symbols, and advertisements, often hidden in plain sight.
You’re asked to meet at the Calumet Visitor Center at 2:00 pm.
The walk will cover about a mile and a half and last about an hour.
