Cyclists are Traveling From Houghton to Brockway Mountain for the Keweenaw Loop of the Tour Da Yoop, Eh!

Anyone interested in cheering on the 55 cyclists with Tour Da Yoop, Eh! can join the pack at Bridgeview Park this morning for the start at 7 am and 8 am.

This year’s tour alone the annual cycling event has raised 107,000 dollars for the U.P. Lions Childhood Cancer fund. The group has set another goal to raise another 100,000 with just six days to go in the 1,200 mile round trip around the peninsula. Since Tour Da Yoop Eh! And UP Lions Childhood Cancer’s partnership began the event has helped 81 Upper Peninsula families afford medical related bills such as travel costs, and medical and household expenses.

Today’s route will take the crowd of bike up Brockway Mountain in Copper Harbor. The local area is encouraged to cheer the bikes on at the summit, the first cyclists should reach Brockway around 11:30 am.
