Frontrunner Donald Trump spent much of Thursday night’s Republican presidential debate, hosted by Fox News, in the cross-hairs of Florida Senator Marco Rubio and Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
Rubio and Trump routinely tussled in shouting matches that had to be broken up by moderators, while Cruz leaned on recent polls that show he has a better chance of beating Democratic frontrunner Hilary Clinton than Trump does.
Ohio Governor John Kasich stayed out of the fray but picked his moments, predicting he’ll win Ohio and will fare better now that the campaign has moved north to more familiar Midwest territory.
Michigan’s presidential primary is Tuesday.
