Dial Help is holding crisis intervention training at the Portage Lake District Library for parents, professionals and community members this Saturday, August 26th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Participants will receive training on how to help friends and loved ones who are dealing with stress, personal crisis, mental illness or other issues.
The event is recommended for parents, youth, college students, professionals and those who are interested in learning how to improve communication when people are in distress.
This training is free. Refreshments, take-home materials and a certificate of completion will be provided.
