A 40-year-old Covington woman remains in the hospital today after her vehicle rolled over earlier this week. The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department responded to a one-vehicle crash just after 12 p.m. on Monday involving a 1998 Ford truck. Police say Tawyna Norbeck was driving north on Tapiola Road when she attempted to pass two northbound vehicles. Norback lost control of her car and it rolled over and landed in a ditch. She wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck, suffering severe injuries from the crash. She was transported to Portage Health and later transferred to Marquette General Hospital. Speed and alcohol were contributing factors to the crash.
