The Keweenaw Peninsula has countless sites that are worthy of a cover.
If you snap a picture of one, your photo could be featured on the front of the new Keweenaw Adventure Guide.
The Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau is redoing the guidebook and is offering this chance to any one who captures the best photo.
The contest will give the guide a more personal look to it.
Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau President Dianne St. Amour said, “I would rather go somewhere where I know that somebody’s been versus a photographer coming in and taking those photos. It gives it a little bit more community feel.”
Participants can submit photos on social media using the hashtag #KeweenawCover or by visiting their website (www.keweenaw.info/) and clicking on the contest link on the home page.
Submissions will be accepted through January 31st.
Then the public will have a chance to vote on the photos until February 8th, when the Bureau will choose the winner from the top three finalists.
The new Keweenaw Adventure Guide is schedule to go to print in March.
