Pelkie – Courtney Mayo was named the 2016 Baraga County Fair Queen Friday evening, on the opening day of the fair. Sarah Dix was selected as first runner-up, and Anna Pietila as second runner-up. In an unusual result, the Miss Congeniality award was shared among all five contestants, with each receiving one vote from one of the other competitors. See video of the presentation here.
