Courser-Gamrat Investigation Continues

Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette says his office’s investigation into former state representatives Todd Courser and Cindy Gamrat is coming along – but won’t say much more.

Courser resigned from office last month, Gamrat was expelled from the House about an hour after Courser stepped down.

The two are accused of misusing taxpayer resources to cover up their affair.

Both are trying to win their seat back in a special election next month.

The A.G.’s office and Michigan State Police are investigating Courser and Gamrat after House Democrats withheld their votes to expel the two until House Republicans agreed to let an outside agency conduct an investigation.
