There’s a lot going on in Ontonagon this weekend as part of the CopperFest 2016 Heritage Festival.
There are beach bonfires this evening and a Lake Superior boat parade from the Marina to the Township Park with fireworks to follow.
A classic car and bike show is scheduled for tomorrow along with a kids’ treasure hunt and old-fashioned games.
Plus, there’s the Great Lakes Timber Show, a craft show, food vendors, a paddle-craft tour for canoes and kayaks, an ATV and ORV trail ride, a nightshirt parade and poker run and a street dance that goes all the way to midnight.
Wake up Sunday morning to a pancake breakfast, a Lake Superior shoreline bicycle tour, a flea market and Log Cabin Day at Old Victoria.
All three days feature tours of local mines and lighthouses.
You’ll find more information about these events by visiting the CopperFest 2016 Facebook page.
